During the April school holiday pottery workshop children will use the pinching method of construction to create a colourful fish OR the coiling method of construction to create a pencil holder. Hand modelled features will then be applied. They will be decorated with coloured slip (liquid clay) and may be personalised.

These pottery creations are a great keepsake for the children, or would be a great gift for grandparents and family members.

While this project is a fun activity, designed to stimulate the children, it also will hone both imagination, dexterity and fine motor skills. Creating a 3Dimensional object also teaches children to consider proportion, design and personal creativity.

The creations remain here at the studio to dry and to be fired. The fired and finished monsters will be ready for collection approximately 3-4 weeks after the workshop.

If you are visiting Ballarat for the school holidays postage of your child's completed creation can be arranged.
