Meet The Author: Whose Story Is It Anyway? with Craig Batty and Laura Clelland | Queensland Writers Centre | Friday, 04. October 2019

With Craig Batty and Laura Clelland

Join us for a provocative discussion on screenwriting with Craig Batty, author, researcher and script consultant. Craig will be in conversation with award-nominated web series director, Laura Clelland, and writer, Sandra Makaresz. Together they'll attempt to uncover whose story the screenplay is: the character’s, the audience's, the writer's or the director's (and others). Does it change for a web series compared to film? This promises to be an enlightening discussion of the behind-the-scenes of film and television that will leave you with a new appreciation for everything you watch.
Come see these industry professionals talk it out against the backdrop of the Brisbane River. Complimentary alcohol will be served during the event, and afterwards, an informal book-signing where you'll have the option to purchase Craig Batty's work.

This is a Meet the Author event. More information on program formats and level definitions can be found here.
