Trooping of the Queen's Colours | Rond Terrace, Commonwealth Park | Saturday, 10. June 2017

The Queen’s Birthday Parade is held to celebrate the official birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Australia. The parade will be held at Rond Terrace on the foreshore of Lake Burley Griffin on Sat 10 Jun 17, commencing at 1015 h. The parade is to be a ceremonial Trooping of the Queen's Colour conducted by the Corps of Staff Cadets (CSC) of the Royal Military College - Duntroon (RMC-D). Colours were first presented to the Royal Military College in May 1927 by His Royal Highness the Duke of York, later to become His Majesty King George VI. The Queen's Colour was trooped for the first time at the College on the Queen’s Birthday Parade in 1956. This tradition has since continued on an annual basis.
