Charlestown, NSW - Pharmacology in Palliative Care for Nurses (RNs, EENs) | Apollo International Hotel, Pacific Hwy | Wednesday, 26. February 2020

Program Objective:
PEPA aims to improve health professionals’ knowledge, skills and confidence in the palliative approach to care for people with a life-limiting illness.
The workshops are interactive and provide ample time for discussion through case presentations and examples (some aspects of the program may change due to circumstances beyond our control).
Intended workshop audience: RNs, EENs.
Aim of workshop: Develop an understanding of a palliative approach and medications in a palliative setting.
Topics include:  Pharmacology in Palliative Care for Nurses; Analgesia - opioids & adjuvent medications; Drug conversions & use of NIKKI pumps; Medications used for symptoms at the EoL; Pharmodynamics & Pharmokinetics; overview of PEPA and placement opportunities.

Please note that places are limited and registration is essential.
TICKET issued in 'good faith' that you meet the necessary criteria/target group for this session. Those not meeting the criteria/target group will be contacted by PEPA NSW to cancel their ticket.
Registration opens approximately 15 minutes prior to start time.

 Cost: Free (light catering provided).  Failure to advise of cancellation or 'no show' on the day may result in a charge of up to $50 to cover venue hire and catering.
