Blackboard Collaborate Ultra Sharing Content & Breakout Groups (Part 2) - Online | | Tuesday, 18. September 2018

*Note: This session is Part 2 to the Blackboard Collaborate Ultra training series. Please ensure you have completed the Introduction Part 1 session prior to attending Part 2.
Blackboard Collaborate Ultra is a live online classroom environment. It is integrated with CloudDeakin. This 45-minute hands-on session is facilitated by an instructor in real-time, in the cloud using the Bb Collaborate Ultra environment.
This session is targeted to users of Bb Collaborate Ultra who wish to utilise the Sharing Content and Breakout Groups functionality within the application.
By completing this session, staff should be able to:
•             Navigate to and understand the different ‘Share Content’ tools
•             Share a file and Share a screen/application
•             Use the breakout group function
 
This session will be conducted online, and a direct link will be provided in an Outlook invitation after signing up via Eventbrite.
Facilitators will be in the session 15mins prior to the start of the session.
 
BEFORE the session
Staff participants must set up their computer with Internet connection, obtain a microphone headset, and go through Bb Collaborate audio setup test to participate online.
Preparation:


You will require a computer with an internet connection, latest browsers and microphone USB headset to talk and listen. A webcam is not essential but is highly recommended. If you do not have a USB headset please contact the Arts & Education Resources team at artsed-resources@ who will be able to arrange one for you.


In order to participate in a Bb Collaborate Ultra session, you will need to ensure your computer and other hardware are set up correctly. It is highly recommended you follow the instructions for first-time users available online.

Google Chrome is the preferred browser, and provides the best experience using Blackboard Collaborate. Firefox is also recommended. Please ensure you have the latest version of Chrome or Firefox installed.


Blackboard Collaborate Ultra is entirely web-based - there is no software to install.
