Exploration and Problems with Camels in the Great Sandy Desert | Senior School Staff Room | Thursday, 07. November 2019

At this upcoming talk, adventurer Steve Choate will share stories of his epic camel trek across the Great Sandy Desert in 2018, a partial tribute to Peter Egerton-Warburton who first explored the WA interior in 1873 with a team of men and 17 camels. His journey replicated a section of Egerton-Warburton’s original journey covering approximately 1200 kilometres and taking 40 days.
Steve is a surf lifesaving firefighter and competed in the World Fire and Police games in Los Angeles in 2017. He also made the semi finals of the television program, Australian Ninja Warrior in 2018.
