QMI Solutions, hosts of the Gateway to Industry Schools Program (GISP) for Advanced Manufacturing, is proud to partner with the Arc Hardware Incubator and Arrow Energy, to bring you this unique STEAM high school teacher PD into Design, Innovation & Advanced Manufacturing (Industry 4.0).

Advanced prototyping and manufacturing techniques including rapid prototyping, 3D design and additive manufacturing (3D printing) will be included in the regional ‘‘Designathon’ event for students Monday and Tuesday 24 & 25 February 2020. This is the teacher PD precursor to the student Designathon.

What’s so cool about a Designathon?

Learn about and use a wide variety of cutting-edge prototyping technologies to manufacture products including additive manufacturing (3D)

Tailored focus on agricultural science,

Technology, engineering, art+design, mathematics (STEAM) products and solutions

Teams communication skills are used to quickly develop ideas and business propositions

The process mimics the stages of developing a real-life manufacturing startup

Receive training & mentorship from practising advanced manufacturing industry experts

It stimulates design thinking and entrepreneurship

This workshop is most suitable for industrial technology and Design (ITD) , Science, Technology, Engineering, Design, Innovation, Business & Maths teachers.


This event can contribute to the QCT professional learning requirements. A certificate of attendance will be issued on request.
