About this Event

This four hour interactive workshop has been designed to enhance your capacity to assess and treat complex wounds in the hospital and primary care setting. The workshop utilises a sustainability framework designed give you clarity into what you're doing well, and where there might be opportunities for improvement. In this context, the program provides a an opportunity to enable evidence based practice in a manner than minimises the social, economic and environmental impact of care. As a participant, you will leave the workshop with a wound care innovation plan for your workplace, specifically tailored to translate your learning into sustainable clinical outcomes.

0900 Establishing your wound management framework. Sustainability in practice, clinical governance, diagnostics and referrals, inventory management, models of care, protocols, economic, social and environmental impact of care.

1015 Morning tea

1030 Wound Bed Preparation: Generic presentation of products within the following categories: tissue viability, infection and biofilm, exudate management and edge of wound. Includes discussion on leg ulcer aetiology, burns and skin tears.
