Our Session of Sound Vibration Therapy

In a session of Sound Healing Therapy At Jacaranda Massage & Holistic Care, our primary goal is that you will come out feeling a deep level of peace. We will transport you from an “eyes open” Beta consciousness through the brain wave range of Beta – Alpha – Theta and hold you in Theta range for the duration of the session.

The full session will take one and a half hours (90 minutes). We will start the session with a brief breathing exercise combined with Aromatherapy. After that we will ask you to lay down on a comfortable mattress. When everyone is comfortable and correctly positioned we will guide you to a very simple progressive muscle stretching exercise. We will stretch various muscle groups 3 times each in conjunction with our breathing.

Once this is done we will start to play all our healing musical instruments such as gong, didgeridoo, chimes and singing crystal bowls.

You will be guided to reawaken when the session finishes.

If it is the first time you have came to this session please make sure you arrive at least 15 minutes earlier than the session starts as you will be asked to complete your details for insurance purpose. If you already have assisted one of our Sound Healing Sessions please arrive at least 5 minutes before the session starts.

*We have comfortable chairs for those who have difficulty lying on the floor. If you prefer to sit down during the session, please let us know beforehand and we can organize a comfortable space for you.

**Different times for a Sound Healing Therapy session are available by appointment (Tuesday to Sunday). A minimum of 5 people are required for this.

**Please be on time, because once the session has begun it will not be disturbed to allow entry into the room.

About Sound Vibration Therapy

Sound Healing Therapy uses sound, music, and vibrational energy to support physiological, psychological and emotional well-being. Throughout the world, a number of different ancient cultures have turned to sound vibration as a way to improve and balance health. Modern science is also acknowledging sound’s potential as an alternative healing force which can complement Western medical practices.

Sound helps facilitate shifts in our brainwave state by using entrainment. Entrainment synchronizes our fluctuating brainwaves by providing a stable frequency which the brainwave can attune to. By using rhythm and frequency, we can entrain our brainwaves and it then becomes possible to down-shift our normal beta state (normal waking consciousness) to alpha (relaxed consciousness), and even reach theta (meditative state) and delta (sleep; where internal healing can occur).

20 minutes of Theta brainwave activity has more power in your body that 6 hours deep and dreamless sleep. This is a timeless place of deep peace.

Sound in water and sound in air are both waves that move similarly and can be characterized the same way. Sound waves can travel through any substance, including gases (such as air), liquids (such as water), and solids (such as the seafloor). Did you know that sound cannot exist if it doesn't have something to travel through? For example, sound cannot travel through outer space because it is a vacuum that contains nothing to carry sound.

The human body has a percentage of 60% to 90% water depending of the age, or parts of the body. Sound travels at 343.2 metres per second in air and at 1,484 metres per second in water (4.3 times as fast as in air) when we take part in a session of Sound Healing Therapy it is like if we receive a massage inside of our body. The waves of the sound align our cells and the healing process starts.
