Blokes in the caring role - Hawthorn - VIC | Dementia Australia | Monday, 11. November 2019

This program includes information about dementia, changes and communication; it also incorporates discussion about the loss and grief associated with becoming a carer. We talk about how to create an environment to facilitate the caring role, as well as maintaining and getting support as a carer. We aim to help you come up with solutions.
Suitable for: Male carers who want to reflect on their new role and relationship with their family member living with dementia, who want to meet with other men who are caring and can participate in a 4 week group program and a follow up session. This program is not suitable for professionals employed in the health or aged care sectors. 
Please note: This series of sessions runs for a total of 12 hours. Each session is 3 hours and is run over four consecutive weeks on Mondays.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Dementia Australia Car Park
Limited Car parking is available in the car park located off Glen Street, look for the reserved signs.
Street Car Parking:
There is often all day car parking located on Glen Street and Riversdale Road on one side of the street and 2 hour car parking on the other side. Please read the signs carefully.
Tram: No 70 or 75 Riversdale Road OR No 16 Glenferrie Road 
Train: To Glenferrie Station (Belgrave/Lilydale Line) tram or 10 min walk south along Glenferrie Road. Stop at Riversdale Road

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
It is ideal if you can bring your ticket. However, if you have completed your registration we will have your details and forgetting your ticket won’t be a problem.
