App Development Workshop | The Shortcut | Wednesday, 15. May 2019
You may have heard of Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) as ways to build apps. Or you may have heard of terms like unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing when discussing how to future-proof apps and eliminate bugs. If these terms have ever confused you, or if you’ve ever struggled to write the app in the first place let alone tests, then this workshop is for you.In this workshop, The Shortcut and Meeshkan are teaming up to teach developers how to build an app from the ground up using testing to drive the development process. We will author tests using advanced AI-based tools so that tests act like a virtual user of our app, making sure it works as intended and giving us peace of mind as we build new workshop will take place over three three-hour sessions on May 15, 22 and 29 from 5pm to 8pm at The Shortcut and the EY headquarters. FOR WHOMLimited to 24 lucky developers, 8 for JavaScrip developers, 8 for Python developers 8 for Java developers. HOW WILL IT WORKThe group will be split into four teams of six, each with two developers of each language. The teams will be led by an industry expert in all three languages.By the end of the three workshops, participants will have coded a fully-functional application with high test coverage and have a useful toolbox for future application testing and development.
