So simple but yet so few succeed.... especialy in a Maintenance workshop environment !
5S has many applications in a maintenance workshop, yet it seems a struggle for many, having tried and failed, often failing to engage the workshop or sustaining not only what has been achieved but also improvements into the future. This workshop is really about beginings... what is needed to setup for sucess. To put in place and have in place for sustained improvements.
Nufarm have enthusiasticaly been heading down the path of 5s in a maintenance worksop, they are kindly hosting this workshop and will share on their experience and insights with their journey of 5S in a maintenance workshop while also creating an opportunity to share and learn from others attending. The Nufarm Raymond Rd site is also a very interesting site in being a major hazard facility and this workshop includes a site visit.

Come along and share your experience and practices with others facing the same opportunities and challenges with getting 5S in a Maintenance workshop happening !

The purpose of 5S

About SIRF Rt Common Interest Work Groups
All SIRF Rt events are designed to provide a safe environment for open discussion with peers on the topic of interest they are working on, in and around. There will be no vendor companies in attendance at this meeting. SIRF Rt Common Interest Work Groups (CWIG’s) provide the best forum for peer-to-peer learning and sharing of knowledge and expertise. Participants are asked to bring something for ‘show and tell’ about the topic of the day as it applies at their organisation – a mini presentation (2 slides maximum), something that you can present in 5min maximum. It could comprise a few photos, a brief descriptions of the current efforts/learnings, a couple of charts or graphs – anything that will help improve the discussion or share knowledge or expertise. After each company shares the deeper discussion follows, guided by our practiced facilitators.
