The Gateway to Industry Schools Program (GISP) for Advanced Manufacturing is proud to partner with industry champion HeliMods to offer this unique ‘behind the scenes’ STEAM PD tour into advanced Manufacturing and industry 4.0. (fourth industrial revolution).
On this Gateway Day you’ll be immersed in the advanced manufacturing industry to experience how science, technology, engineering, art+design and maths (STEAM) is contextualised to this growing sector.
HeliMods is recognised as a progressive technology organisation, dedicated to advancing the capability of rotary wing operations worldwide. Through the delivery of innovative, world-leading aerospace products and services, HeliMods facilitates local and international helicopter service providers in performing a range of critical missions, including emergency medical, search and rescue and disaster relief.
HeliMods delivers industry leading engineering capability to civil and military fleets internationally. How is this manufacturing business embracing industry 4.0? Learn why design and technology is so important. This teacher PD tour is suitable for industrial technology and de-sign (ITD), Technology, Engineering & Design teachers.
Industry partners involved in the Advancing Manufacturing Maryborough Gateway Hub are also welcome to register, inclusion is subject to approval from Helimods.




This event can contribute to the QCT professional learning requirements. A certificate of attendance will be issued upon request. Max 4 per school; 1 industry partner per business. Student ambassadors also welcome.

Ticket price includes tour and lunch
PPE: You will need safety boots (closed in shoes); long pants and long sleeved shirt. On the day you will be provided with a hi-viz vest & safety goggles.
