Bad Lucky Goat + Director Q&A (UK only) | Saturday, 22. August 2020

A colourful road movie set on the Colombian island of Providencia, where the sights and sounds have a distinctly Caribbean flavour.

About this Event

After accidentally killing a bearded goat with their father's truck, two incompatible teenage siblings embark on a journey of reconciliation. Corn and Rita must repair the truck in time to pick up the tourists who will be staying at the family's hotel. As they try to find the means to pay for the accident, the siblings will visit a butcher, Rastafari drum makers, a cockfighting ring and even a witch doctor, in a 24-hour adventure around Port Paradise.

Inspired by the classic reggae movies of the 1970s, Bad Lucky Goat is the first film ever written and produced in San Andres-Providencia creole, the distinct variant of Caribbean English which bears more than a passing resemblance to Jamaican patois. The film is subtitled in English.
