  • Was thinking about the HBF run for a reason to run...here's a reason why I would run....how about HBF establish their own non for profit hospital in line with their not for profit health fund where they could employ medical staffers willing to work for a salary in line with community expectations and not allow practitioners of all kinds to then have their health insurer be gouged in the payment of said services. Truly...while I totally respect the achievement of the people who practice in medicine I also respect the folk who cleanup after them...the folk who ensure that they are clear of issues that allow them to practice their craft...the chap that makes the instruments and delivers them...my point is that the cost structures in health are killing the goose and at the end of the chain it is the tax payer who funds this industry...thus much needed and required sector of our society yet one can only feel that the taxpayer is paying out above the odds through our government a considerable amount of money in excess of what is truly needed to be paid out. It is beyond belief that this is happening. And if the medical profession had to compete for business like private enterprise does without the gravy train of the commonwealth funding its system one wonders how they would go. Come along HBF....do it for your members and yourselves.. Just an observation.
