Photographing Karijini - Gorgeous Gorges and Rugged Red Rocks | Camera Electronic | Wednesday, 09. October 2019

This event is a fundraiser in support of Steve Marijanich who has been diagnosed with lung cancer. All proceeds raised by this event are donated to the Marijanich family.

If you've ever thought about taking a photographic trip to Karijini National Park to photography the gorgeous gorges and rugged resplendent red landscapes there, then you mustn't miss this info session by four Perth photographers who recently went on a photographic tour of Karijini and returned with sensational images of the red-earth and cavernous gorges there!
Learn about their experiences photographing at different locations there -- what the must-see and must-shoot locations are, how to get there, what you need to watch out for and how to best use your photographic gear in the environment.
Sean Breadsell, Matt Cook, Trinity Townsend and Keef Hickey are four local photography enthusiasts who embarked on an epic photographic adventure in Karijini. From the depths of Dales Gorge, to the amazing vistas at Hamersley Gorge, they have photographed the colour and breathtaking landscapes of Karijini across many days and nights. Each of them uses a different camera system (Nikon, Sony, Canon and Fujifilm) and they will be speaking about their journey and the logistics of it all -- from gear, to transportation, to environmental challenges, to searching for light and more...
Be enthralled by their adventure and learn more about what it takes to photograph great landscapes in this rugged and very Australian setting!
Tickets are only $16 and places are limited to 50 seats, so book in to avoid missing out! This event is proudly supported by Camera Electronic.
Refunds: There is no refund for this event as it's a fund-raiser.

We're fundraising to assist Steve Marijanich, a Perth photographer and an outstanding mate to many local photographers. Steve was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 (advanced) lung cancer and while he is undergoing very stringent chemotherapy, is unable to work. This puts a big hole in the daily family finances and we are trying to help out.
Steve is an active part of the Perth photographic community; he is a member of the GEM Camera Club in Kalamunda and has helped many local photographers. We hope that by fundraising, we can help plug in some of these holes and help Steve and his wife, Kym, and their boys get by. We are hoping that Steve's treatment will extend the time he has with his family.
If you're unable to attend this event, you can contribute your support to Steve Marijanich and his family by donating to the Go Fund Me account that has been set up by his friend. To do this, simply click here.
