Root Cause Analysis: Applying Tools in the Toolbox
Effective Root Cause Analysis relies on the successful application of quality tools. This half-day workshop will cover basic tools that individuals and teams can use to identify and confirm that a root cause or causes have been identified. In addition, the tools will be placed in the context of a problem solving process so that participants can also see how the tools can be used together.
As a result of attending this workshop participants will be able to:- define basic quality tools that can be used to identify and confirm a root cause (or causes) have been identified,- describe where and how each of the tools can be used as part of a root cause analysis, and- use each tool for root cause identification.The workshop will utilize lecture, discussion and a hands-on example to illustrate the use of each tool. Tools covered in the workshop include: Run Chart, Control Chart, Check Sheet, Pareto Chart, Is / Is Not, Problem Definition, Cause and Effect Diagram, and 5 Whys.
Breakfast and lunch are included.
Certificates of Completion will be issued upon workshop completion for 0.4 ASQ RUs / 0.4 CEUs.
