Using Samsung VR Gear this high quality virtual reality experience will enable participants to see the world through the eyes of a person living with dementia.
The aim of this workshop is to better understand dementia from the perspective of the consumer through an Educational Dementia Immersive Experience, EDIE. EDIE uses virtual reality technology to enhance your knowledge of the impact of dementia.
Learning Objectives
In this workshop you will develop a great understanding of

a consumers perpective of dementia

the impact of the environment on a person living with dementia

identifying causes of excess disability in your workplace and how to reduce the impact

how to support your consumers through enablement and reablement

Who is the target audience for this event?
This program is designed for staff working with consumers with dementia.

There is parking on the street and in the car park off Battley Avenue
