Townsville (QLD) - Kumano Kodo & Camino de Santiago - Dual Pilgrimage Info Night | Rydges Southbank Townsville | Friday, 16. August 2019

Travel Information Night
Cost: FREE
* Kumano Kodo (Japan)
* Camino de Santiago (Spain)
There are only two pilgrimage routes on the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage list: Japan's Kumano Kodo and the Camino de Santiago route in Spain. Both trails have been twinned since 2014.
RAW travel offers both of these fantastic pilgrimage walks!
Like the Camino de Santiago, pilgrims have been following the journey to Kumano for over 1000 years. The trails are culturally and spiritually important, beloved by many, and both beautiful. Each walk is commonly described as ‘life affirming’, and offers the opportunity to meet a variety of people from all over the world.
When you complete the Camino (or a section of it) across northern Spain there’s a good chance you will want to walk the Kumano Kodo on Japan’s Kii Peninsula, or vice versa. You can then be honoured as a Dual Pilgrim.
We often get asked about the similarities and differences about these two iconic walks, so we will be sharing our knowledge and up to date information to help you plan, prepare and complete your walking adventures. Our staff regularly walk these routes, so they have first-hand advice and insights.
Come along to our free information night and find out why so many Australians choose RAW Travel to assist with their travel plans.
We operate our own trips, offer real-time advice, book the best accommodation on the routes, and have staff members in-country to provide support.
