CoastalFit Manly to Palm Beach | Saturday, 01. August 2020

Saturday 1st August at 6.30, we will set of for a 35km COASTAL Hike from Manly to Palm Beach. We completed this last year and it was such a blast, that everyone has been asking when are we doing it again. I've chosen June as the weather is usually perfect , cold mornings, but wonderful blue skies and moderate hiking weather.



Meeting at the corner of Queenscliff and Bridge road, Queenscliff, because we can get all day unmetered parking :)



Experience the breathtaking scenery of ocean lookouts, national parks, dramatic clifftops and iconic city views.



As we are starting at Manly, you can join on this hike and pull out at any point, as you can use Public Transport at any point to return to your car. The 199 will return you to Warringah Mall or Manly wharf.

This special hike part of our COASTFit program, where all proceeds (100%) will go to Charity (Hornsby Kuringgai Womens Shelter). If you want to donate more than the nominated fee that would be fabulous. The final donation amount will be shared with all.



Here are some suggested joining spots

Queenscliff to Long Reef Golf Club 10KM 2 hours , arrive 8:30

Long Reef Golf Club to Warriewood Beach 10 KM allow 2.5 hours (sand)

arrive 11:30am

**** Vale Golf Club - Palm Beach 15km allow upto 4 hours (hills)

arrive 3.30pm



After arriving at our final destination - Palm beach , we then catch the bus back to see why for some celebrations over a glass of wine and cheese.



This is part of our HIKEFit weekly hiking program . HIKEFit is all about getting you Fit in Nature . We walk fast on the flat and at your own pace up hills. This is a two + hour exercise program, which is far more enjoyable than hitting the treadmill a the gym.



As a qualified fitness trainer and with wilderness first aid certification, my aim is to help you get fit, be happy and healthy in nature.



It is essential you wear appropriate Walking Gear with stable shoes, sunhat, sunblock, poles, and bring plenty of water (1.5Litres) and several snacks / sandwich. I encourage members to have breakfast beforehand so you body has enough fuel to handle the hike.
