DC Jews on Bikes 5th Annual First Ride | Chinatown Park | Saturday, 27. April 2019

DC Jews on Bikes. Year 5. Let's do this.
Get ready, we're rolling into our fifth season of Jewish biking. Grab your friends and get ready to ride through the streets of our nation's capital on Saturday, April 27th. We'll celebrate the end of Passover together as we ride from Chinatown Park towards Wiseguy Pizza in Navy Yard (202 M Street SE) to stuff ourselves with gluteny goodness and do Havdallah in Navy Yards fabbo green spaces.
The full route can be viewed here.
We'll gather at 7pm, with wheels up at 7:15. The ride should be about an hour. Don't own a bike? No Problem! The start and end points are near multiple Cap Bikeshare docks, and we'll build in stops to dock without going over 30 minutes.
---
This slow, social ride for Generations Z, Y, and X is suitable for cyclists of all levels. It's the perfect way to make new friends, get comfortable with city riding, find new biking buddies -- or just to "do Jewish" in a whole new way.
We'll explore about 8ish miles of DC -- parts you may not see every day (or you'll see them in a whole new way). After the ride, we'll celebrate havdallah, schmooze, and ingest solid and liquid chametz.
And as always, it's FREE! (Whoop!)

If you're joining us for the ride, please bring:

A helmet to protect your noggin (it's required... we really like your ****)
Bike lights to see the road and your friends, and so the cars can see you
A bike lock for after the ride

Can't make the ride/not a bike rider but want to join us for food and drink? Even better! Register as a non-rider. You'll meet the riders at Wiseguys (202 M Street SE). We plan to arrive there around 8:15-8:30.
Quick note on safety: Because this is a community-organized and lay-led event, every rider is responsible for his or her own safety and the organizers are not liable for any injuries that occur before, during or after the ride. By registering for this event, you agree to those terms. If you have any questions about bike safety, please don't hesitate to reach out. We want to make sure this is a fun, safe, and meaningful experience for everyone!
